Here are some common questions that we receive. We hope that this will help you understand more about ticketing at our Theater and address any questions that you have about our policies. How much are tickets?
Ticket prices vary depending on the show you wish to see and when you wish to attend. The average cost is $65.50 and includes the full dinner buffet and show. Coffee, Hot Tea and Iced Tea are also included. The Candlelight Theatre provides a full-service bar. Sodas, alcoholic beverages and gratuities are not included in the price of your ticket. Are there fees in addition to the cost of the ticket?
The advertised ticket price includes a $1.50 processing fee for phone orders and in-person sales. Additional processing fees are added to the advertised price when purchasing tickets online.
Subject to availability, tickets may be exchanged into a performance of the same production for a fee of $5.00 per ticket. See Exchange Policy below for more details.
How will I be seated in the theatre?
The Candlelight Theatre is an intimate 150 seat venue where every seat is a good seat. Seating is assigned based availability at the time of purchase. For special seating accommodations, see Accessibility policy below. Preferred seating is reserved for Candlelight Season Subscribers. Does Candlelight Theatre have Accessible Seating?
Yes! Candlelight’s Main Floor can accommodate accessible seating needs. Please call the box office at 302-475-2313 to make the staff aware of your specific needs so they can be sure to assist you. Entrance from the parking lot through the lobby and onto the Main Floor as well as access to the restrooms are all on one level with no steps or ramps. The Candlelight Theater parking lot also has a number of handicap spaces; however, they are limited and are first come first served basis.
Will I be guaranteed private seating?
The Candlelight Theater tables seat anywhere from 6-10 people. Parties of 6 or less cannot be guaranteed private seating. Best efforts are made for Candlelight Season Subscribers. To find out more about being a Season Subscriber, click here.
Can I request a specific table?
Requests will be taken but not guaranteed. The Candlelight Theatre is an intimate 150 seat venue so every seat is equivalent to premium orchestra seating elsewhere. Candlelight Season Subscribers receive preferred seating as a subscriber benefit. For more information on preferred seating and being a Season Subscriber, click here.
When is dinner served?
All full-priced tickets to our Main Stage Productions include full buffet in addition to the show. Doors and buffet open two hours prior to the performance and the buffet will remain open up to 45 minutes before the show. Servers are available to take your drink orders from the bar. All servers at The Candlelight Theatre are also involved in the production (Actors, crew), so be sure to applaud your server during the curtain call!
Thursday, Friday, Saturday – Doors open at 6:00 pm, Dinner 6 – 7:30 pm, Show at 8:00 pm
Sunday matinee – Doors open 1:00 pm, Dinner 1 – 2:30, Show at 3:00 pm
Wednesday matinee – Doors open 11:00 am, Dinner 11 – 12:30 pm, Show at 1:00 pm
Are Children’s tickets available?
Many of Candlelight’s performances are appropriate for all ages. However, it is best to check our individual event page for details or to research online if a show is right for your little one. Children tickets are available at a discount for children ages 4 to 12. Due to the intimacy and sensitivity to all our patrons, children under 4 years of age are not permitted.
Do you offer discounts for Groups?
Yes! The Candlelight Theatre offers discounts for groups of 15 or more. For more information about our groups and group policies, click here or call Dennis Mahoney at 302-475-2313.
What is the exchange policy?
Subject to availability, tickets may be exchanged into a performance of the same production for a fee of $5.00 per ticket. Ticket holders who exchange into a performance priced at a higher rate will be subject to pay the difference. $5.00 exchange fee is waived for all Candlelight Season Subscribers. What is the cancellation policy?
If there are uncontrollable circumstances which cause a performance to be cancelled, all ticket holders will be notified personally. Exchanges, free of any fees, will be offered to a future performance of the same production or any future production in the current Season. If a future performance cannot be scheduled, a refund will be processed.
