BRETT ANDERSON (Ensemble) was last seen cruising across the Atlantic in Candlelight’s production of Anything Goes.  After recently choreographing Big:The Musical at Wilmington Drama League, he is all charged up to be back in front of an audience again.

JULIANNA BABB (Ensemble/Dance Captain) is ecstatic to make her Candlelight debut!  She is currently a senior musical theatre major at University of the Arts  Recent credits include: Legally Blonde, Sideshow, She Loves Me, CATS, 42nd Street and The Trojan Women: A Love Story.

DAVID CALLOWAY (Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein/The Hermit) is thrilled to be making his first appearance at Candlelight  It seems a lifetime since David appeared in numerous musicals at Players Club of Swarthmore and The Rose Valley Chorus. Favorite shows include: The Merry Widow (Pritchitch) and Celebration (Mr. Rich).

TIFFANY DAWN CHRISTOPHER (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back on stage at Candlelight where audiences recently saw her in Anything Goes  (Purity/Ensemble) and The Odd Couple (Female Version – Sylvie). She thanks God for blessing her with her many talents and to her family and friends for all of their continued LOVE and SUPPORT!  Hugs and kisses to Peter, the production team, and this AMAZING cast!

CHRISTINE C. CLEARY (Ensemble) is happy to be returning to the Candlelight stage.  Christine has been choreographing for local schools and theatres for the past 10years. Her favorite shows include Anything Goes for The Brandywiners, Ltd. and The Producers at Salesianum.  When she is not performing or choreographing, her everyday job is teaching 8th grade Science.  Thanks to the cast and crew for making this such a fun experience…especially to my amazing boyfriend David—love you!!!

VICTORIA HEALY (Frau Blücher) is so happy to be playing another interesting character at Candlelight where she last appeared as Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof.  Other  Candlelight credits: The Odd Couple (female version – Olive), Damn Yankees (Sister). She holds a B.F.A. in Drama from NYU’s Tisch Scool of the Arts (Stella Adler Studio, Tisch Dublin).  Some favorite credits: Greetings! (Randi), Miracle on South Division Street (Ruth, Montgomery Theater), The Secret Garden (Martha), Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife), A Little Night Music (Charlotte).  During the day you can find her coaching high school sports, and directing/teaching drama to enthusiastic children and teens at a number of local schools.  “Love the art in you, not you in the art.”

ANTHONY CONNELL (Frederick Frankenstein) is elated to be sharing the Candlelight stage with such a talented cast and crew.  He is a graduate of De Sales University.  His previous credits include Leo Bloom (The Producers), Hanschen (Spring Awakening), Chris (Miss Saigon), George (The Wedding Singer), and Lt. Joe Cable (South Pacific). He would like to thank Da, Mum, Teen, and Mikey for all the luck and love.

TOPHER LAYTON (Ensemble) is thrilled to have his debut at Candlelight in this marvelous show.  He has recently been seen in Mary Poppins at The Walnut Street Theatre. He has also been a featured soloist in cabarets at World Café Live and Society Hill Playhouse.  Topher has appeared in the Fringe Arts Festival in Life and Times at  The Wilma and Paper Phoenix at the Azuka Theatre. Topher is a Missouri native, new to Philadelphia, and is excited to be working in one of his favorite shows with such a fantastic cast.

KAT LEE (Elizabeth Benning) is thrilled to be in her first show at Candlelight!  She graduated from The Catholic University of America in 2013 with a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Music Theatre and is also an alumnus of The London Dramatic Academy.  Kat was most recently seen as Nellie in Jekyll & Hyde at The Broadway Theatre of Pitman.  She sends her best to the incredible cast and crew of Young Frankenstein and thanks her family for lovingly putting up with her.

KIMBERLY MAXSON (Ensemble) is excited to make her Candlelight debut! Recent credits: 9-5 the Musical (Walnut Street Theater), Xanadu (Mazeppa Productions),  Chicago (Maples Repertory Theatre), The Boys from Syracuse (Temple University). Proud graduate of Temple University’s class of 2014! Love to Cameron, my family and friends.

BRIAN MCCOLE (Inspector Hans Kemp, Mordecai) is Candlelight’s new “Cop with an Eastern European accent,” having recently appeared as “The Constable” in Fiddler on the Roof. Other recent performances include Candlelight’s A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit), and The Rock School’s Nutcracker1776 (Thomas Jefferson, General Mouse Howe)His voice can be heard in such video games as James Bond: From Russia With Love (Red Grant), and Resistance: Fall of Man (Lt. Buckler), and the audio play The Legend of Finn McCool, in which he performs 13 characters. Brian earned his degree in Theatre from DeSales University. He would like to dedicate his performance to the memory of his friend Jason Schoenagle, who would have loved this show!

DAVID MCCONNEY (The Monster) last appeared at Candlelight in Christmas by Candlelight.  This will be his 27th production here since 2008. He is thrilled to bring The Monster back to life, having recently given him life at The Ritz Theatre. He was Technical Director for Fiddler and Anything Goes, PSM for Fiddler and The Full Monty and operated music for A Chorus Line.  Notable performances at Candlelight include West Side Story (Action), All Shook Up (Dean), Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow). David recently completed a run of Young Frankenstein (the Monster) at The Ritz Theatre.  He is very thankful for the opportunities that Candlelight has given him through the years.  Sending his love to his wonderful girlfriend, Chrissy.  Thank you for reading and enjoy the show.

KIERA MERSKY (Ensemble) feels so lucky to be a part of this cast. She wants to thank the Candlelight cast & crew for making her feel so welcome during Young Frankenstein. She also wants to thank her friends & family for the love and support they give her to keep after her dreams. Favorite Shows include: Legally Blonde (D.A/Ensemble), Cinderella, Cinderella (Prunella) and Peter Pan (Indian).

CHRISTOPHER MILLISON (Ensemble, “Puttin’ on the Ritz” specialty) is glad to be back performing at The Candlelight Theatre. His last show here was Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat back in 2009! Following Young Frankenstein, Christopher will be performing in Candlelight’s upcoming production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, one of his favorite musicals. JAMIE MILLISON (Ensemble) is a graduate of Cab Calloway School of the Arts. She is currently a Freshman at University of Delaware, undeclared.  Jamie was a National Finalist in Senior Classical Voice at the 2014 MTNA Competition in Chicago and currently sings with the University Singers at UD. She has participated in numerous musical theater productions with CAB, Delaware All State Theater, Milburn Stone Theater, The Everette, Wilmington Drama League and the Delaware Children’s Theater. She  recently had her Candlelight debut in the production  “Just Drag” and is loving being part of the Young Frankenstein cast.

SAMANTHA MORRONE (Inga) Is excited to be making her Candlelight debut! Samantha has worked for various companies throughout the tri-state area, including; The Walnut Street Theatre, The Eagle Theatre, and The Broadway Theatre of Pitman. Most recently, Samantha conceptualized and wrote a one-woman show, “Bitches Be Crazy,” which she performed at the Society Hill Playhouse earlier this year. Samantha dedicates this, and every performance to her father, Anthony, who always has the best seat in the house.

MAX REDMAN (Ensemble/US Frederick) is happy to be returning to Candlelight for his third show in a row! Max is a University of Vermont graduate with a degree in theatre performance. Recent past and favorite credits include – Theatre: A Christmas Carol (Fred) Fiddler On The Roof (Perchik), Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? CHRISTIAN RYAN (Ziggy) is thrilled to be making his Candlelight debut with this fantastic cast and crew of Young Frankenstein! Past favorite credits include Shrek (Big Bad Wolf), Grease (Teen Angel), Edges (Man 2), Alls Well That Ends Well (Fool). Many thanks to his family and friends for their continued support, as well as to Peter and everyone at Candlelight for the opportunity!

CHRIS TROMBETTA (Igor) is thrilled to be a part of his first Candlelight production. He is currently a theatre major with a dance minor at West Chester University. After graduation in May, he will continue to pursue performance which includes moving to the city in the near future. Chris was most recently seen in the West Chester production of The Wedding Singer. Some of his favorite shows include: She Loves Me (Arpad), A Year with Frog and Toad (Snail), Hello, Dolly! (Barnaby)

THEO WAMPLER (Ensemble) is elated to make his Candlelight debut! Theo holds a BA in Theatre Performance from Oklahoma City University.  His list of achievements while at OCU includes everything from Opera and Shakespeare to Musicals and the American Spirit Dance Company.  In 2010, he spent a year with Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Department of Shows and Parades.  From 2007 to 2012, Theo was active as a performer with The Pollard Theatre of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Since moving to Philadelphia in 2013, he has been a featured soloist in cabarets at Society Hill Playhouse and World Café Live and he performed this past fall in an original musical, Paper Phoenix, hosted by the Philly Fringe.


PETER JOHN RIOS (Director/Choreographer) is pleased to return to Candlelight for another Mel Brooks extravaganza. Peter choreographed The Producers for the 2013 season and has directed, choreographed, and performed in the tristate area and NY at Walnut Street Theatre, Media Theatre, Kimmel Center, Prince Music Theater, Radio City Music Hall and in numerous corporate events and tap dance concerts. Peter is the Tap Instructor for the Musical Theatre Department at University of the Arts and has run workshops/mas-ter classes in tap and theatre for students and professionals throughout the Northeast. He has also performed with several Tap Companies over the years including Teach All People and the NJ Tap Ensemble. Special Thanks to an amazingly talented cast/crew, to the Candlelight staff/regulars for their help, and to Bob Kelly for his support, and much love to Quinto and Erin.

HANA J. CAI (Musical Director) is excited to be music directing her first show at Candlelight. Hana graduated from the University of Maryland in 2011 where she studied classical piano and choral conducting. Recent music directing credits include Hair and Oklahoma! at Temple University. Hana is currently music directing Hot ‘n’ Cole, a Cole Porter revue, with Mauckingbird Theatre Company.

CHRIS MILLER (Lighting Designer) has been designing lights for theater the past 7 years. His most recent credits at Candlelight include, The Full Monty, Christmas by Candlelight, and Forever Plaid. Selected professional credits include: Spamalot, Hairspray, Moon over Buffalo, The Philadelphia Theater Workshops Spring Playwright Festival, Barnum, Cats, Rent, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Pippin, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He was nominated for a Perry Award for Groucho A Life in Revue, Greater Tuna, and The Graduate. He would love to thank his family for their unfettered support! “Art first of all is optical. JEFF REIM (Scenic Design) is happy to be part of  this production of Young Frankenstein.  As Scenic Designer, his work has been seen in numerous shows including Christmas Carol, Little Shop of Horrors, CATS, Miss Saigon, …Spelling Bee, Legally Blonde, The Producers, Anything Goes, Fiddler and many more.  Jeff has also served as Musical Director for A Chorus Line, Bye Bye Birdie, Seussical The Musical, and Grease and as Director for Cabaret, The Sound of Music, Nunsense, and The Music Man. Jeff has also been seen on stage in such roles as Sancho in Man of La Mancha and Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast.  His full-time performing arts career also includes work as a composer/ lyricist and commercial/ film/voice-over actor, among other things.  Jeff is a life-long New Jersey resident where he lives with his wife Barbara and sons Benjamin and Adam.

TIMOTHY LAMONT CANNON  (Costumer) is excited and thankful to be working with such a great cast and crew. When not on stage performing, you can find Timothy working away to ensure that all the actors have costumes and other character defining quirks. Past credits have included Cats, Seussical, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, 42nd Street, West Side Story, The Drowsey Chaperone, and Bye Bye Birdie. Many thanks to Reba for her help and support and to everyone else who has helped ensure the success of this production. Break legs!!

REBA FERDMAN (Co-Costumer) returned to Candlelight assisting Timm with A Christmas Carol and agreed to this collaboration as she considers Young Frankenstein to be a comedic masterpiece. Reba is no stranger to Candlelight.  In 1988 Lena and John O’Toole welcomed her  into the Candlelight theatre family as husband Larry and son Brian took the stage in Fiddler on the Roof.  Later, her son Ross worked as a “techie” as spot-light operator.  Over the years, Reba has great memories of working with talented design teams at Candlelight; thank you Maryanne V. for putting your trust in me. As resident costume manager for The Players Club of Swarthmore and Young Peoples Theatre Workshop for more than 20 years, she has enjoyed the art of defining characters through costume design with many artistic friends.  Some of her favorite designs have been for Thoroughly Modern Millie, Peter Pan, and Grey Gardens. Theatre binds family and friends together.  The costume process has been fun.  She hopes the audience will simply get swept away in the hilarity of the moments on our stage.

LISA MILLER-SAUNDERS (Wig and Hair Design) is an award winning hairstylist who has studied and trained with the best in the industry for over 20 years.  Her work has been published in Delaware Today magazine, Passion on Hair Trends, and many others.  She was feature on Fox’s “Ambush Makeover”.  She has done hair designs for many local theater productions and is the Artistic Designer and Master Stylist at Sherif Zaki Salon.  Love to James, Kayla, and Kaeman.

CLAYTON STACEY (Makeup Design) is an aesthetician and makeup artist at the Sherif Zaki Salon and Spa in Greenville, Delaware and was makeup designer for WDL’s Into the Woods, City Theatre’s Xanadu and Gypsy, and DAST’s Jekyll and Hyde and most recently, The Drowsy Chaperone.  At Candlelight, he designed wigs and hair for Driving Miss Daisy and Legally Blonde. As a performer, he has  been in Candlelight’s productions of Grease (Doody), Fiddler on the Roof (2004 and 2014), Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar, and the Barrymore Award nominated, Chicago, to name a few. Most recently, he was the producer of Candlelight’s Just Drag! Get Lucky.He thanks his parents Cameron and Chlela for their love and support.

REBEKAH WEAGRAFF (Stage Manager) is very excited to be a part of Young Frankenstein, her first experience as a Stage Manager. She has previously been involved both onstage and offstage at Candlelight.  She last appeared as Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof (2014), and has served backstage in a number of capacities since November 2013. Rebekah earned her M.A. in Theatre (with a concentration in Dramaturgy) from Villanova University in 2013.
